About Board Games Sorted
Most board game websites are written for people who are already deep in the hobby. This one's for everyone else: parents, grandparents, couples, teachers and anyone hunting for a present.
What we do
- One page per real-life situation, with a short list of games that fit and how long each takes to explain.
- Prices from UK shops, each with the date we checked it.
- A crowdfunding calendar that tells UK backers whether they'll pay tax and customs. We never score games nobody's received yet.
- Town pages listing cafés, clubs, Meetup groups and pub nights, so you can find people to play with.
What we avoid
If we use hobby jargon, we explain it. We don't rank games by hobbyist “complexity” scores or online ratings either. Those tend to favour long, complicated games, and they get hyped up for games that haven't even shipped.
